We went to Koh Samui for our 9th anniversary & a much needed vac for Michael. Michael booked a villa w/ a private pool overlooking the ocean. It would have been much better if it wasn't as rainy. On Saturday we went on the "Travel to the Sea" excursion...speedboat to Ang Thong Marine Park for snorkeling, sightseeing on Mae Koh Island where we made a steep but spectacular climb to see the "Green Lagoon" & island view point. From there we cruised over to Tai Phow Island for a lunch buffet on the beach & kayaked around the island afterwards. Just about everyone were napping on the way back to the mainland for the elephant trekking. Very cool experience. Since we were exhausted from the excursion we decided to treat ourselves to a spa treatment the next day. We rented a motorcycle on Sunday & explored the whole island within 2 hrs, the last hour in the rain...I discovered that rain hits hard when you are riding on a bike. Boracay Island ~ March 14 - 17, 2008
After a 35min flight from Manila to Caticlan Island and another 20min boat ride we finally made it. D1 was hectic...we didn't like our 1st hotel so checked into another. B4 the day was over we found a hotel we like ~by accident~ & booked it 4 the next 2 nights. It was worth all the hassle;-) The island is beautiful ~ soft powdered sand & crystal blue water. We went island-hopping. That was awesome...gliding thru the water and feel the wind on your skin. Couldn't get enough malibu pineapple 4 moi & San Miguel for Michael. Live music everywhere. Just what the doctor order...some R&R. Everyone should try this @ least once. We will definitely be heading back in the summer.
